David Leisure was Charley Dietz, Dr. Harry
Weston's mooching next-door-neighbor on NBC's hit comedy series "Empty
Nest," which ran for seven seasons.
He made his screen debut in the role of a Hare Krishna devotee in the hit
comedy film "Airplane!" He also appeared in "The Brady Bunch Movie", and
the Gregg Araki film, "Nowhere".
Although Leisure has also appeared in numerous television commercials,
he is best known for the role of the inveterate liar "Joe Isuzu," of the
Isuzu automobile commercials.
Besides "Empty Nest", he has appeared in various roles on such television
series as "Married With Children", "The Golden Girls", "Nurses", "Lois
and Clark", and TV movies including "Goddess of Love," "Hart to Hart,"
and "Burke's Law."
